Sandia has gone a perfect 10-0 against Santa Fe recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Matadors will head out to take on the Demons at 11:00 a.m. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Sandia is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of New Mexico's top teams: Eldorado, who was ranked fifth at the time (Sandia was ranked 25th). The Matadors came up short against the Golden Eagles on Wednesday, falling 4-0. Sandia have struggled against Eldorado recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Santa Fe fell victim to La Cueva and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 5-0 to the Bears. Sylvia Rankin was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Sandia's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Santa Fe, they now have a losing record of 9-10.

Everything went Sandia's way against Santa Fe in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Sandia made off with a 5-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Matadors since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
