Softball Recap: Peaster Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Peaster came tearing into Tuesday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.9 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 12-8 win over the Early Longhorns. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-11 back in March.

Peaster got a massive performance out of Kate Roberson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Roberson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. Taylor Walker was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI.

Peaster pushed their record up to 10-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Early, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Peaster is set to take on their familiar foe Dublin at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Early will square off against rival Comanche at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
