Basketball Recap: Cole Stutzman's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Milford over Lincoln Christian

After flying high against Falls City last Monday, Milford came back down to earth. The Milford Eagles fell to the Lincoln Christian Crusaders 62-56. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-56 back in December of 2024.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cole Stutzman, who shot 71% from the field on his way to 15 points. Those 15 points gave Stutzman a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colby Rautenberg, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 13 points and eight boards.

Milford's loss dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Lincoln Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Milford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lincoln Christian has already played their next matchup (against Auburn), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
