Soccer Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They lost 8-0 to the Dexter Dreadnaughts. While losing is never fun, Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan soccer rankings (they are ranked 358th, while Dexter are ranked 164th).

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Dexter, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-4 record.

Lincoln wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 4-2 win against Thurston on the 2nd. As for Dexter, they will head out on the road to take on Chelsea at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Chelsea will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Dexter surely won't give up without a fight.
