Basketball Recap: Mojave Comes Up Short

After flying high against Cheyenne last Friday, Mojave came back down to earth. The Mojave Rattlers were outmatched by the Del Sol Dragons and fell 55-28. The loss continues a trend for the Rattlers in their matchups with the Dragons: they've now lost four in a row.

Ricana Taylor continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Del Sol, going 10 for 18 on her way to 25 points in addition to eight boards and eight steals. Taylor is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 22 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ge Ge Pickens, who posted 19 points along with seven blocks and six rebounds.

Mojave's defeat dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Del Sol, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-7.

Mojave does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Del Sol, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 55-25 win against Durango on the 5th.
