Softball Recap: Catholic Central Find Success

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Racine Case, Catholic Central was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 13-8 victory over the St. Francis Mariners. The Hilltoppers haven't had any issues with the Mariners recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Catholic Central got a massive performance out of Isabella Arrieta, who scored a run and stole a base while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Jenna Pechous, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-5.

Catholic Central's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for St. Francis, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catholic Central will welcome Brookfield Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hilltoppers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Blue Knights have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for St. Francis, they will be playing at home against Living Word Lutheran at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
