Basketball Recap: Munday Picks Up 14th Consecutive Victory

Munday entered their tilt with Northside on Friday with 13 consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with 14. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Northside Indians 78-28. With the Moguls ahead 53-18 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Munday's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mance Phillips led the charge by going 6-for-12 to rack up 14 points. Phillips is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Caisen Lee, who went 6-for-10 on his way to 16 points.

Munday was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside only posted eight assists.

Munday's victory was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 26-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Northside, their loss dropped their record down to 7-18.

Munday and Northside are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Munday will venture away from home to face off against Aspermont at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Munday's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matches. As for Northside, they will face off against Hamlin at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hamlin will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Northside surely won't give up without a fight.
