Baseball Recap: Charles Henderson Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Charles Henderson was the 8-4 winner over Ariton when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Charles Henderson Trojans took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ariton Purple Cats on Tuesday.

Ben Cochran was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Dunn Lindsey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Charles Henderson's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Ariton, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Charles Henderson will host Citronelle at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ariton, they will be playing at home against Bibb County at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
