            Softball Recap: Bellingham Blackhawks vs. Medfield Warriors        
        
		
        
        
            Bellingham posted their closest  victory since May 13, 2024 on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a  win as the  squad sidled past the Medfield Warriors  5-3. For the Blackhawks, this counts as revenge for the   12-11 victory the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.

 Trista Corshia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned  (and two unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks. With that strong performance,  she is now averaging an impressive 5.2  strikeouts per game.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Kaleigh Simpson, who  went 3-for-4 with one  triple, two  RBI,  and one  run. Another player making a difference was  Megan Skarin, who  went 2-for-3 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI.
Bellingham's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Medfield,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-6.
 We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Bellingham will  face off against  rival Dedham  at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Medfield is set to  square off against  their familiar foe Ashland  at 4:30  p.m.  on Wednesday.
