Basketball Recap: Stanley Drops Highest Score of Season Against New Town

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Stanley). They secured a 62-58 W over the New Town Eagles on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Blue Jays considering their 20-point performance the contest before.

Stanley's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 6-13. As for New Town, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stanley will venture away from home to square off against Dunseith at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Stanley is facing Dunseith at the right time seeing as Dunseith is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for New Town, they will head out to face off against Nedrose at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
