Football Preview: Arcadia Apaches vs. Burroughs Bears
Arcadia and Burroughs are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. The Arcadia Apaches will venture away from home to face off against the Burroughs Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Arcadia came up short against Rim of the World and fell 21-12.
Despite the defeat, Arcadia got top-tier performance from Aaron Morinaga, who rushed for 133 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also picked up 60 receiving yards. Morinaga really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run. Ethan Long also helped out with an impressive 111 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Burroughs didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Los Altos on Friday, but they still walked away with a 21-16 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bears.
Matteo Tarca went supernova for Burroughs, rushing for 82 yards and a touchdown, while also picking up 37 receiving yards.

Arcadia now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Burroughs, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Arcadia took a serious blow against Burroughs when the teams last played back in October of 2023, falling 41-7. Thankfully for Arcadia, Chris Kulikov (who threw for 231 yards and three touchdowns while completing 72.2% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown) won't be suiting up this time.
