            Baseball Recap: Shorewood Stormrays vs. Meadowdale Mavericks        
        
		
        
        
            There's no place like home for Shorewood, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Saturday. They came out on top against the Meadowdale Mavericks on Tuesday by a score of  5-1 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The  win was a breath of fresh air for the Stormrays as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

 Jameson Connolly made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. That's the most  strikeouts  he has posted since back in April. He was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-2 with one  stolen base and one  run. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Lorenzo Jaramillo, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.  Joey Facilla was another key player,  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances with two  stolen bases and one  run.
Shorewood's victory bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Meadowdale,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-14.
As of now, neither Shorewood nor the Mavericks have any future games scheduled.
