Baseball Game Preview: Pass Christian Pirates vs. Columbia Wildcats

For the second straight game, Pass Christian will face off against Columbia. The Pirates will take on the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Pass Christian has struggled recently with six losses in a row, while Columbia will arrive with three straight wins.

Pass Christian heads in on the heels of a playoff match on Friday. They fell just short of Columbia by a score of 6-4.

For Columbia's part, their victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Rowley, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Columbia pushed their record up to 18-10 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Pass Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-20.
