Volleyball Recap: Morristown Takes a Loss

Morristown came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Rushville Lions. The loss continues a trend for the Yellow Jackets in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost three in a row.

While Morristown was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-7, 25-23.

Morristown's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Rushville, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-12 record this season.

Morristown has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Eastern Hancock on the 9th. As for Rushville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Connersville on the 7th.
