Basketball Game Preview: New Life Academy Eagles vs. St. Agnes Aggies

The New Life Academy Eagles are taking a road trip to face off against the St. Agnes Aggies at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

New Life Academy is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering St. Croix Prep just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 59-36 to the Lions. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, St. Agnes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 61-59 heartbreaker at the hands of West Lutheran. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Aggies have suffered against the Warriors since February 27, 2015.

New Life Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for St. Agnes, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

New Life Academy was dealt a bruising 68-34 defeat at the hands of St. Agnes in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can New Life Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
