If Ravenscroft wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played North Raleigh Christian Academy, they should've done a better job of containing Davin McCoy. The Knights took down the Ravens 42-28 on Thursday with plenty of help from McCoy, who rushed for 324 yards and two TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. He is becoming a predictor of North Raleigh Christian Academy's success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 5-1 (and 1-3 when he doesn't).

When it comes to explaining why Ravenscroft lost, don't look at Elijah Deifer. Despite the final result, he rushed for 73 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 138 yards while completing 71.4% of his passes. Cole Venters was another key player, rushing for 100 yards on only ten carries.

North Raleigh Christian Academy's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-4. As for Ravenscroft, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-7.

North Raleigh Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 45-0 loss against Providence Day on the 7th. Ravenscroft does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
