Volleyball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for St. Ignatius College Preparatory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only St. Ignatius College Preparatory walked away with it. They came out on top against the Homestead Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 22-25, 25-22, 25-21.

Among those leading the charge was Megan Low, who had 15 digs and four aces. Those 15 digs gave her a new career-high.

Low wasn't the only good servers: St. Ignatius College Preparatory was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive matchups.

St. Ignatius College Preparatory's victory bumped their record up to 24-9. As for Homestead, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 26-8.

Looking ahead, St. Ignatius College Preparatory will face off against Saint Francis at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Homestead does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
