Softball Recap: Taholah Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Taholah and Wishkah Valley had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Chitwhins blew past the Loggers 14-1 on Wednesday. The Chitwhins might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three games by ten runs or more this season.

Taholah's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-1. As for Wishkah Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Taholah will square off against Oakville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Acorns have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 23.92 runs per game on average), something the Chitwhins will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wishkah Valley, they will venture away from home to challenge Lake Quinault at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Loggers are facing the Elks at the right time seeing as the Elks are stuck on a ten-game losing streak.
