Basketball Game Preview: Ossining Pride vs. Green Tech Eagles

The Ossining Pride will head out to face off against the Green Tech Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Ossining has given up an average of 69.4 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Monday, Ossining took a blow against Mount Vernon, falling 85-45. While losing is never fun, the Pride can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 607th, while the Knights are ranked 58th).

Meanwhile, Green Tech waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Cats 74-43. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-16.

Ossining's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-15. Those home losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points over those games. As for Green Tech, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
