Marion extended their winning streak to seven games thanks to a huge performance from Jameir Legette. The Marion Swamp Foxes came out on top in a nail-biter against the Loris Lions on Monday, sneaking past 69-67 thanks in part to Legette, who went 10 of 12 on his way to 22 points and six rebounds. What's more, he also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in February of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Loris lost, don't look at NIGEL MILLER. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 16 en route to 23 points and three steals. MILLER is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. JACOBIEN LEWIS was another key player, going 5 of 9 on his way to 14 points.

Marion pushed their record up to 9-10 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Loris, they moved to 8-7 with that loss, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marion has already played their next match (against Mullins), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Loris will venture away from home to square off against Aynor at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Loris knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully Aynor likes a good challenge.
