Basketball Game Preview: Rudder Rangers vs. Montgomery Bears

The Rudder Rangers will take on the Montgomery Bears at 6:30 a.m. on Friday.

Last Tuesday, Rudder took a blow against Brenham, falling 65-33. The matchup marked the Rangers' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite their loss, Rudder saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jaquise Martin, who posted seven points and five rebounds, was perhaps the best of all. Kayden Holmes was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Montgomery, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They snuck past A&M Consolidated with a 54-49 victory on Tuesday.

Montgomery's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 15-9. As for Rudder, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
