Softball Recap: Kettle Moraine Comes Up Short

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Kettle Moraine and Oconomowoc, and Oconomowoc kept the tradition alive. The Lasers fell just short of the Raccoons by a score of 4-3 on Thursday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lasers of the 1-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Casey Navarro and Sarah Marcheske did some serious damage despite the final result: Navarro went 3-for-4 with two doubles and one RBI, while Marcheske went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Kettle Moraine's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

Kettle Moraine didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, an 11-3 loss against Whitnall on the 12th. As for Oconomowoc, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 6-4 defeat against Waupun on the 11th.
