Baseball Recap: Elysian Fields Comes Up Short

Elysian Fields lost to Overton back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Yellowjackets fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 5-4. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spencer Scott made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That double was his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brandon Kennedy, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

Elysian Fields' defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for Overton, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-13 record this season.

While Elysian Fields had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
