Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Alliyah Bautista and Ava Muir-Vickrey Lead Winters to Victory

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Helena, Winters was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Esparto Spartans. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Winters was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least 25 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-0, 0-25, 25-0, 25-0.

Leading Winters to victory were Ava Muir-Vickrey and Alliyah Bautista. Muir-Vickrey had 13 aces and eight kills, while Bautista had ten aces and ten assists. Lex White was another key player, getting 12 kills and three aces.

Winters' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Esparto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winters will head out to square off against Dixon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Esparto, they will take on Futures at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
