Softball Preview: Hale County Wildcats vs. Bibb County Choctaws

After 14 games on the road, Hale County is heading back home. They will take on the Bibb County Choctaws at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hale County will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Last Tuesday, Hale County got themselves on the board against Montevallo, but Montevallo never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the Bulldogs. With that victory, Hale County brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Ragan Landrum was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run, four RBI, and two runs. Alex Gray was another key contributor, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Bibb County had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Brookwood last Wednesday.

Hale County's victory bumped their record up to 14-18-1. As for Bibb County, they now have a winning record of 8-7-1.
