Soccer Recap: Cornerstone Christian Comes Up Short

Cornerstone Christian's tournament run continued when they took on KIPP Esperanza on Monday. The Cougars fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. Daniel Diaz was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Cornerstone Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for KIPP Esperanza, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Cornerstone Christian will be taking part in a tournament against Emery at 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday. As for KIPP Esperanza, they will take on Impact Academy of Arts & Technology in a tournament on Tuesday.
