Flag Football Game Preview: Conant Cougars vs. Naperville North Huskies

The Conant Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Naperville North Huskies at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Naperville North took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Conant, who comes in off a win.

Conant is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 42-6 win over Maine East. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Cougars had established a 20-point advantage.

Arianna Dugo produced another solid effort rushing for 246 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.2 yards per carry, and also throwing for 269 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 13.5 yards per attempt. Her rushing production has been exceptional as that marked her seventh straight game with at least 113 rushing yards. Conant's leading receiver Annabel Danso was Dugo's top target yet again, picking up 200 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Conant was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. They are 3-1 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Meanwhile, Naperville North ended up a good deal behind Geneva on Thursday and lost 26-7. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Naperville North's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Conant, their victory bumped their record up to 6-9.
