Basketball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Takes a Loss

Mt. Pleasant lost against Keokuk back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mt. Pleasant Panthers took a blow against the Keokuk Chiefs, falling 75-48. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 322nd, while the Chiefs are ranked 104th).

Mt. Pleasant's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Keokuk, they pushed their record up to 13-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will take on Ottumwa at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Pleasant is facing Ottumwa at the right time seeing as Ottumwa is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Keokuk, they will face off against Fort Madison at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
