Minico waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 57-31 margin over the Wood River Wolverines. The Spartans pushed the score to 45-16 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolverines cut but never quite recovered from.

When it comes to explaining why Wood River lost, don't look at Tony Ambriz. Despite the final result, he posted 13 points.

The victory got Minico back to even at 9-9. As for Wood River, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minico will take on Idaho Falls at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wood River, they will face off against Burley at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
