Football Game Preview: East Helena Vigilantes vs. Fergus Golden Eagles + How To Watch

East Helena has won five straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Fergus has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Friday. The Vigilantes will welcome the Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

East Helena is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Montana's top teams: Havre, who was ranked 21st at the time (East Helena was ranked 14th). The Vigilantes blew past the Blue Ponies 35-14 on Friday. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Vigilantes just coasted through the last quarter.

Bearek Shuman had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 212 yards and three touchdowns on only 19 passes, while also punching in one TD on the ground. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in rushing yards (26). East Helena's leading receiver Conor Carpenter was Shuman's top target yet again, picking up 95 receiving yards and one score.

Meanwhile, Fergus got themselves on the board against Park on Thursday, but Park never followed suit. They blew past the Rangers, posting a 55-0 win. The Golden Eagles' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.

Fergus didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Conner Miller and Sam Durbin.

Fergus' victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for East Helena, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
