Softball Recap: Ross Extends Winning Streak to Four

Ross entered their tilt with Ursuline Academy on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Paige Baker was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ross got a big performance out of Meadow Webb, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Kam Commins, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

Ross' win bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Ursuline Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Looking ahead, Ross will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Wilmington at 5:00 p.m. Ursuline Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
