Football Game Preview: Chamberlain Storm vs. Lennard Longhorns + Official Tickets

The Chamberlain Storm will challenge the Lennard Longhorns at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Chamberlain 11.4, Lennard 7.1) so any points scored will be well earned.

Chamberlain is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Everything went their way against Robinson on Friday as they made off with a 39-14 win. Considering the Storm have won five matchups by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Chamberlain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jet Durfee led the charge by throwing for 155 yards and three TDs. Those 155 passing yards gave Durfee a new career-high. Andre Moore was in the mix as well, providing Chamberlain with two touchdowns.

Chamberlain didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Steven Valentine and Devonte Spears. Valentine has been hot recently, having also posted at least one defended passe the last three times he's played. Jermiah Holden was another major factor on D, forcing one fumble and making nine total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Lennard entered their game against Palmetto on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Longhorns came up short against the Tigers, falling 31-6. The Longhorns were down 24-0 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Chamberlain is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 9.8 points on average over those games. As for Lennard, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-2.

Chamberlain was able to grind out a solid win over Lennard in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, winning 21-14. Do the Storm have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Longhorns turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
