Basketball Recap: Dorchester Comes Up Short

Dorchester was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were dealt a 70-32 loss at the hands of the Hampton Hawks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Longhorns of the 51-29 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Dorchester's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Max Novak, who to rack up 12 points, and Owen Vyhnalek, who posted seven points. The dominant performance also gave Novak a new career-high in shooting accuracy (83%).

Dorchester's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Hampton, their win bumped their record up to 5-15.

Dorchester has already played their next match, a 70-22 loss against McCool Junction on the 14th. As for Hampton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-44 victory against Giltner on the 14th.
