Basketball Recap: Stratton Takes a Loss

Stratton and Eads squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Stratton had to settle for second. They fell just short of Eads by a score of 53-51. Stratton has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Eads found their leader in sophomore Anna Wollert, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and ten rebounds. Wollert has been hot, having also posted two or more blocks the last five times she's played. Alessandra Paez was another key player, putting up four points and eight boards.

Stratton's defeat dropped their record down to 21-7. As for Eads, they are on a roll lately: they've won 18 of their last 19 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Stratton nor Eads have any future games scheduled.
