Baseball Game Preview: Eisenhower Eagles vs. Nuview Bridge Knights

The Eisenhower Eagles will square off against the Nuview Bridge Knights at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Eisenhower is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Bloomington on Thursday. They fell just short of the Bruins by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Bruins: they've now lost three in a row.

Eisenhower saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joshua Aguilar, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Meanwhile, Nuview Bridge owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over JW North.

Nelson Lara made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Lara was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2025.

In other batting news, Luca Canales was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That hit was his first of the season.

Nuview Bridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Nuview Bridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Eisenhower, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.
