Baseball Recap: Orange Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Orange ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over the Estancia Eagles. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Eagles back in March, they had to take a 11-10 defeat.

Cooper Gschwend-Son looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Anthony Zaragoza was excellent, scoring a run while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Myles Kennedy, who scored a run while going 3-for-5.

Orange's record now sits at 9-11-1. As for Estancia, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-9.

Orange will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Eagles: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
