Soccer Recap: American Heritage Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Olympic Heights

The American Heritage Stallions had just enough and edged the Olympic Heights Lions out 3-2. The win was all the more spectacular given the Stallions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 108th, while the Lions are ranked 16th).

Ryan Ashley and Montgomery Byers scored all three of American Heritage's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

American Heritage's victory bumped their record up to 6-2-2. As for Olympic Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-2-1.

American Heritage will square off against North Broward Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. American Heritage is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.7 goals per game this season. As for Olympic Heights, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Olympic Heights challenge the Dwyer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Dwyer also hasn't been messing around on offense: they've averaged 3.8 goals per game.
