Savannah is 8-2 against Chillicothe since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Savages will venture away from home to take on the Hornets at 4:30 p.m. Chillicothe took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Savannah, who comes in off a win.

While Savannah's victory against Mid-Buchanan wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Savages won by a run and slipped past the Dragons 2-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Savages.

Meanwhile, Chillicothe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of Lafayette. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last six times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Savannah's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-10. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Chillicothe, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-10.

Savannah skirted past Chillicothe 2-1 in their previous meeting back in April. Do the Savages have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Hornets turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
