Classical took a four-goal loss the last time they faced off against Cumberland, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Purple never let the Clippers get on the board and left with a 1-0 win on Wednesday. Jonathan Guevara had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Classical.

Classical moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-match losing streak. As for Cumberland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-3-2.

Classical wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Central on the 7th. As for Cumberland, they have also already played their next matchup, a 5-0 loss against Bishop Hendricken on the 4th.
