Soccer Game Preview: Armijo vs. West Campus

The Armijo Royals will head out on the road to face off against the West Campus Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Monday, Armijo and Florin finished up on equal footing with a 5-5 draw. The outcome might've been different if Jaibet Hernandez Leon hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited his ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Armijo hit Florin with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Artemio Perez Valadez (2), Miguel Sanchez Ramirez, Haroon Salarzai, and Jose Becerra Flores.

Meanwhile, West Campus played to a draw too, finishing 1-1 against Fairfield.

With that draw, Armijo's record moves to 7-6-3. Meanwhile, West Campus' record is now 5-3-6.

Armijo took their win against West Campus when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 4-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Armijo since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
