Baseball Game Preview: Post Falls Trojans vs. Rigby Trojans

Post Falls will take on Rigby in a tournament on Saturday. The last four games Post Falls has played (dating back to last season) have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Post Falls fell victim to Skyview and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They fell just short of the Hawks by a score of 2-0. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly two runs.

Post Falls got a good showing from Gavin Wienker, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those zero hits allowed gave Wienker a new career-low.

Meanwhile, Rigby narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Skyview 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Trojans.

Kadyn Hench looked comfortable as he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Quinn Bennett was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-4. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Rigby's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Post Falls, they dropped their record down to 1-2 with the loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
