Soccer Recap: Momence Starts Season with Loss on the Road

Momence had to start their season on the road on Saturday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the Herscher Tigers, falling 7-0. The defeat continues a trend for Momence in their meetings with Herscher: they've now lost seven in a row.

Herscher has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Momence will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wilmington at 4:30 p.m. on the 4th. As for Herscher, they didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 victory against St. Edward on the 22nd.
