Volleyball Recap: Bishop Mclaughlin Catholic Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Sabrina Demarco and Crista Panzner

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bishop McLaughlin Catholic can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the Tampa Prep Terrapins on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their meetings with the Terrapins: they've now lost four in a row.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's loss came despite strong showings from Crista Panzner and Sabrina DeMarco. Panzner had 12 digs, while DeMarco had nine assists. Panzner is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Tampa Prep found their leader in sophomore Sophia Merenda, who had seven digs and four assists.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Tampa Prep, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 17-6.

Bishop McLaughlin Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tampa Prep, they will square off against Carrollwood Day at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
