Basketball Recap: American Heritage Comes Up Short

American Heritage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 51-10 loss at the hands of the Leadore Mustangs. The Patriots were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-4.

Leadore's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kaylee Kesl, who posted six points and 12 steals. Another player making a difference was Lexi Bird, who went 5 for 11 en route to 12 points and eight rebounds.

American Heritage's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Leadore, they pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

American Heritage has already played their next game (against Challis), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Leadore didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 52-35 win against Sho-Ban on the 25th.
