Basketball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial lost against Borah back in December of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Centennial Patriots received a blow as they fell 58-42 to the Borah Lions. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Borah found their leader in sophomore Nakiyia Percell, who went 7 for 14 on her way to 16 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kya Davis, who posted nine points and seven rebounds.

Centennial's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Borah, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will face off against Eagle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Eagle will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Centennial surely won't give up without a fight. As for Borah, they will challenge Mountain View at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Borah is facing Mountain View at the right time seeing as Mountain View is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
