Volleyball Game Preview: Sacred Heart Valkyries vs. Ballard Bruins + How To Watch

Sacred Heart has won three straight games at home, while Ballard has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Valkyries will take on the Bruins in a tournament on Monday. Sacred Heart will be strutting in after a win while Ballard will be coming in after a loss.

On Tuesday, Sacred Heart earned a 3-1 victory over Seneca.

The match finished with set scores of 25-10, 25-16, 23-25, 25-13.

Sacred Heart can attribute much of their success to Campbell Miles, who had 17 digs and six assists. That's the most digs Miles has posted over her last six matchups.

Sacred Heart was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are a perfect 10-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Meanwhile, after a string of 20 wins, Ballard's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christian Academy-Louisville.

Ballard's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 29-4. As for Sacred Heart, they now have a winning record of 18-17.

Everything went Sacred Heart's way against Ballard in their previous meeting back in October of 2023, as Sacred Heart made off with a 3-0 win. Will the Valkyries repeat their success, or do the Bruins have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
