The Lincoln North Star Navigators and the Lincoln Northeast Rockets will compete for holiday cheer at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Lincoln North Star is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Grand Island: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Navigators blew the Islanders out of the water with an 88-14 final score. The Navigators haven't had any issues with the Islanders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Lincoln North Star got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jordan Castor out in front who almost dropped a triple-double with ten points, 16 assists, and nine steals. Castor has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of J'Shawn Afuh, who went 7-for-11 en route to 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Lincoln North Star smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 28 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

The home team had come away the winner the last five times Lincoln Northeast and Norfolk had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Rockets walked away with a 57-45 victory over the Panthers on Saturday.

The win got Lincoln Northeast back to even at 2-2. As for Lincoln North Star, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Lincoln North Star couldn't quite finish off Lincoln Northeast in their previous meeting back in February and fell 71-69. Can the Navigators avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
