Basketball Recap: Life Center Academy Find Success

Life Center Academy won the last time they faced Mercy Career & Technical and Milak Myatt did his part to make sure it happened again. The Warriors blew past Mercy Career & Technical 85-29 on Thursday for which the team can thank Myatt, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 30 points and six rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Life Center Academy's points.

King Josiah Dunkley-Hamilton was another key player, going 7-for-8 on his way to 19 points and five boards. He has also also been stellar as far as shooting accuracy is concerned: he's posted one of at least 50% every time he's hit the court this season.

Life Center Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Mercy Career & Technical, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Life Center Academy will venture away from home to face off against Trenton Central at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Mercy Career & Technical, they will head out to square off against New Foundations at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
