Football Recap: Jones Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Jones had won four straight games and Acyn Hansen did his part to make it five on Friday. The Longhorns claimed a resounding 59-19 victory over the Millwood Falcons with plenty of help from Hansen, who rushed for 119 yards and two scores on only eight carries, and also threw for 243 yards and four touchdowns. His longest rush was for an impressive 54 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Jones' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Millwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Jones will challenge Crooked Oak at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Longhorns will be up against the Ruf-Nex's rather soft defense (which has allowed 37 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Millwood, they will be playing at home against Oklahoma Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Saints' defense has only allowed 1.6 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
