Basketball Game Preview: Woodstock Wolverines vs. River Ridge Knights

The Woodstock Wolverines are taking a road trip to face off against the River Ridge Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodstock knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully River Ridge likes a good challenge.

On Saturday, Woodstock was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to Riverwood. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Raiders recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, River Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-53 heartbreaker at the hands of Pope.

Woodstock's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-13. As for River Ridge, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-15.

Woodstock was able to grind out a solid win over River Ridge when the teams last played back in January, winning 62-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodstock since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
